By bus: there is a bus stop at Baddeck. The bus service is SMT Eastern, Acadian Lines ( http://www.smtbus.com/index.html ). We can easily arrange transportation to and from the bus.
The Sydney airport is a little over 1 hour away and we can provide transportation from there.

To Big Hill Retreat by car:

On Route 105, the Trans-Canada Hwy., find the sign for Rear Big Hill. It is 1 km. East of EXIT 10 (to Baddeck).
Take this gravel road, the Rear Big Hill Rd., north for almost 2 miles. Follow the power line and the signs to Big Hill Retreat.
Please exercise caution on the Big Hill Road. It is a steep climb at first and could be impassable in the winter. Please call us for a road report any time.
